About time

Well it is! After about two months since I move the previous version of the site to the archives I have finally managed to get this one back online.

The brand new, shiny, butterfly-ie version of it. Powered by ExpressionEngine core as opposed to Wordpress and much more organised. Jquery to give me nice transparencies in IE and some Ajax-y tabs on the sidebar and equal height columns to balance things out. I’ve dropped the music section as it was using up a lot of bandwidth from hotlinkers and also dropped categories in favor of tags.

The site was primarily made on a mac and although I have tried as much as possible for it to be x-browser, it is probably buggy as fcuk in IE. I have checked it over a few times but if you pick up any issues send me a message and I shall fix it. Initially I was thinking on serving a completely un-styled site for IE < 7 but then changed my mind and gave it a go at making the cursed browser to cooperate.

Still this is the end of this entry, since I have spent most of my time in front of my monitor this weekend trying to finish the site and I am now signing off. My lovely bed is awaiting me and I can go to sleep without feeling guilty of all the things I haven’t done. Welcome back people.

UPDATE: I have discovered a bug that stops the display of remote content in the sidebar, if users have accessed the page from acidsmile.co.uk instead of http://www.acidsmile.co.uk

I will try to fix it as soon as possible. Clicking on any link in the page should fix the issue.

UPDATE: The javascript issue has now been resolved and the sidebar content should be universally accessible.
