Hull Digital Meet Up
Just got back from the first Hull Geek Digital Meetup and I must say I’m pleased to have been there. First impressions are quite good with an impressive turnout of people from all walks of digital life, even a retired teacher who’s into digital photography!
With no real agenda for today apart from meeting and greeting each other I think that the venue chosen, although not ideal was quite good. After all what meet-up can go wrong with “the best espresso this side of Milan”.
The purpose of the group, apart from world domination which Dave has already let slip, is to meet and chat with local (and not so local) people about the web, connectivity, technology and other geeky but very interesting stuff.
Also to show to the rest of the world that ‘Ullians DO exist in the digital universe and that we have more interests than the price of fish and ‘Ull City. (Scarily enough I just realised that I have started considering myself from ‘Ull!)
If you are in or around Hull, if you are interested in all things web & digital and if you want to meet and chat with fellow geeks [or greeks like me] go and sign-up for the group and join us at the next meeting.
Big up to John Moss for organizing the event. Already looking forward to next months meet up.

Hi Maria,
Thanks so much for the write up, and apologies for not arriving here sooner! Finally catching up on some feeds now :)
Hull has been DESPERATE for a Web / Tech / Online community/group, and so far, the response has been amazing. Thanks for your support too!
See you at the Feb MeetUp!
Jon
Hopefully this gravatar works! :-)
I only hope we manage to get more people to the meet-ups.
We need it, ‘Ull needs it :)
