i’ve been away, i’ve been around
i’ve been mostly up and down. The last few months having been crazy busy, both at work and at home. Projects to be urgently done, friends visiting, the weather mostly good so we are feeling just a little bit summery. Sure sign my absence from the blog and pretty much twitter, apart from my good mornings & good nights.
I’ve been lucky enough to give life to some very nice projects (work updates to come in another post) from sitemap to finished, which for a geek like me, it has been the perfect opportunity to do what I like best :) I realised once more that I actually look forward to going to work in the morning. Even if some times I have nightmares of git merges gone bad…
(Sidenote:) I had a very nice compliment by someone last week. He said that when I speak about my job, I make him want to be even better at his. (We’re not even in the same field!)
Outside work people seem more active and keen to get together, seeing it’s (a little bit) summer. We’ve had friends visiting, which was good. I’ve spent more time visiting friends too, making me feel slightly guilty for the ones I haven’t seen in a while.
Homesickness strikes some times the last couple of weeks too, since for the first time in the 14 years I’ve been in the UK I’m not in Greece for dekapendavgoustos Exactly a year since my last holiday and with both my Greek and my Canadian passport expiring soon I need some holidays back home soon. Even if it’s just to renew my passports. All your tweets and twitpics of #holidaysingreece and #beach and #bars DO NOT HELP!
So yeah life is busy but good. And I’m still going, like the energizer bunny (or duracell bunny if you’re Greek). More updates coming soon.
