This site is my own personal playground. It has been around for a few years and depending how you version things it could be version 2 or version 5.2.4 It started a few years ago as a place for me to try out things and proceeded to host my blog, where I rant and talk about work and life and anything that comes to mind. By anything I mean anything. I write about new technologies and stuff I try out, I talk about my days, things I like and things I hate, things that make or break my days. I write mainly in english which is my everyday language but also in greek which is my mother language.
A few months ago I decided to start this site from scratch in order to “do things right”. You can find out about the reasoning in the first post I made on this site. At the time I decided not to transfer the material of the old one to save myself time but for archival purposes you can find the whole site at the archives.
This incarnation of the site is powered by ExpressionEngine Core. I work with ExpressionEngine a lot at work and since I started I have found myself liking it more and more. In order to explore it more I decided to temporarily abandon my beloved Wordpress. Most of this site is made on a mac with some debugging done on my windows laptop to work out quirks for Internet Explorer. Be warned though. Since this is a completely personal site which is primarily done for my own pleasure, IE in general and IE6 more specific is the last browser on my list so you might find it is a bit buggy at times although I have tried as much as possible to to make it cross browser.
Although the publishing engine and some of the technologies I use on this version of the site have changed one thing remains the same. Like before it’s going to be an organised mess of work, play, experiments and things I love, like and in some cases hate. Hopefully if you have stumbled upon this website you wont feel you have wasted your time and bandwidth by visiting, but if you do so you have been warned. This IS after all a personal website :D
