Below are some of the things that have buttered my bread, brought in the bacon and other such necessary things. Most of them have been done by bluestorm and I was part of the team, some are things I have done freelance.
Either way they are some projects I am really proud to have worked on, little bits of me. As mothers don't play favorites with their children, they are listed in alphabetical order.
Cherry Valley is a site with a wide range of audiences from trade to the home consumer and bluestorm tried to cater for everyone.
Different themes for each section of the site make it memorable and a wealth of content make it extremely useful. Content is organised in a logical, user friendly way with a lot of emphasis in standards and accessibility.
New technologies are used but fallback methods have been provided where possible for users with systems that don’t meet the top end specifications. The site remains fast even though it is highly graphical.
My Role: I was part of the development team, mainly helping out with the CSS and xHTML templates that had to be created very fast as we had a very tight production schedule. I also helped out with some of the Javascript and the flash navigations.
Greenpalm is an online trading programme in certified sustainable palm oil. The proceeds from their sale directly encourage plantations to strive for continuous improvements and ultimately lead to an increase in production of sustainable palm oil, with environmental, social and economic benefits.
Bluestorm designed and developed the various versions of the website, from the preliminary static microsite used to introduce the programme, to the latest dynamic website that works as a news platform and integrates with the online trading application. We also designed and prototyped the user interface of the trading application that seemlesly integrates with the front end.
My Role: I initially extended the original microsite and in phase two created the content managed site that exists now. I also did all the prototyping for the trading application and integrated the information from it to the public site.
